Global Mapper Mobile invaluable tool in diamond exploration
Global Mapper Mobile (GMM) Pro proved to be an invaluable tool in diamond exploration. Templates containing satellite imagery or cadastral maps as backdrops can be created in Global Mapper - it can be forwarded to any mobile device and opened in GMM. These templates can be used without any internet service. Vector data containing information about sample points, transects to be surveyed as well as infrastructure (e.g. roads and farm boundaries) provide useful information as overlays on the imagery or other maps. Data can also be captured during field surveys through the created template. Synchronizing the field data with Global Mapper projects is handled through a Mobile Data Management tool.
