SMC Synergy assisting the NWU with the development of BEIMS
SMC Synergy and the North West University is finalising the Bush Expert Information Management System (BEIMS). The location of all EcoRestore case studies will be evaluated and where necessary corrected (some mistakes were identified when the cases were incorporated into the spatial viewer). The data capturing system of EcoRestore is also being completed. The Bushmon project management system within BEIMS were upgraded to enable the capturing of the Southern African Science Services Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) projects. A Restoration Project Management Tool (RESPROMT) is also being developed to capture and management bush encroachment and alien vegetation restoration projects. The developments within BEIMS will be completed during 2023.
